It's always a good time to topdress your Lawn, Trees and Shrubs.

Adding Compost adds nutrients and microbs and helps hold water!

What To Plant This Month:

The best time to plant a tree was yesterday, the next best time is NOW!!

When planting be sure to add some compost to your backfill ( about 20-25% compost mixed with the native soil) and mulch at least 3 inches deep around base of the tree. Deep watering is recommended and ,above all, don't let newly planted trees or shrubs dry out- a little water dailey is usually all that is required.  Check back here or watch the Hill Country News for coupons and sales.
